Need Moneys D=

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 4:36 PM
So I am finding myself frighteningly short on money at the moment. If any of you lovely people out there would like to help me out (oh please oh please?) then you should commission me, or tell other people that they should commission me. Then, not only will you help me feed myself, but you will motivate me to do some art, and then you will have a nice picture and everybody who can't commission me can see an art update from me! See? Everybody wins!!!

My prices are below. :)

Commissions
I can accept payment via PayPal, or checks or money orders to my PO Box in California.
For cheaper commissions such as sketches and lineart I will collect payment after completion of the image. For more difficult commissions I will ask for a portion ahead of time. Images will be watermarked and uploaded to my deviantart account (unless you specify that you don't want it uploaded) and an un-watermarked version will be sent to you after I receive full payment.

Prices
-pixel art (example: [link])= $5
-pencil sketches/lineart (example: [link])= $5
-finished pencil drawings (example: [link])= $10
-pen lineart (example: [link])= $10
-CG character image (example: [link])= $15
-CG character with background (example: [link])= $25
-colored pencil character image (example: [link]) = $20
-colored pencil full image (example: [link])= $35
-extra characters/foreground objects= +$5

Prices may vary somewhat with complexity, but they shouldn't change much. Please note me or e-mail me if interested. :)

Summer! and Commissions!

Mon Jun 15, 2009, 1:01 AM
School is out for the summer--! Except that I'm taking summer classes, but even so, that's less work than classes the rest of the year. So that means I will hopefully have some more time. I'm planning to clean out my gallery sometime within the next week and hopefully I can get a lot more art done soon.

So, with the extra time I have, I'd like to take some commissions! If anyone would like one, or knows someone who might like some, let me know. The following is copied from an earlier journal entry- I'll have to make some CSS or something for all this later, I guess.

Payment
I will accept payment via PayPal, or checks or money orders to my PO Box in California.

Prices
simple sketches and lineart (example: [link]) would run around $5
colored character drawings (example: [link]) would be around $10
full pictures with a background (example: [link]) will be closer to $20
Prices will vary a bit depending on complexity. Expect more characters to cost more. I also will do colored pencil drawings, which will most likely cost more than tablet drawings.
These are all ballpark prices; the best way to find out would be to contact me and ask "how much would this cost?" Feel free to ask, I don't consider it you committing to commission me. :)

Yay! Kinda

Sun May 10, 2009, 4:49 PM
So I installed a new harddrive and installed windows XP on it and yay, my computer is back up and running! Kind of. It's not quite right though. In particular, it doesn't recognize that the mouse is a track pad so I can't change the track pad options to let me use the scrollbar on it, and I have no sound. Also everything is kind of stretched out horizontally- I think it also hasn't realized that I have a widescreen monitor. :( Anybody have any suggestions?

EDIT:

Problem solved! I'd downloaded the drivers but forgotten to install them. I am such a silly duck, yes I am. All better now! There was one that wouldn't install but I couldn't figure out what it did and which one it was. Oh well, guess it's not important. <.< Thanks for the suggestions!
Hopefully I can find time to mess with my new subscription soon ^^

Crashed!

Wed Apr 29, 2009, 7:19 PM
So, I entered :iconsilentkitty:'s contest with this picture [link] and won a full year subscription to deviantart yaaay! I'm so excited; I really didn't expect to win! :)

The bad news is my computer has been crashing within a few minutes of me turning it on. Sadness. I'm stealing a friend's computer to write this and check deviantart and such, but while I would like to do more updating and drawing it's going to be difficult without my computer.

Fortunately, I was able to save all of my art and my work so far on my comic onto a flash drive and a CD-RW. The only things I have yet to save are my photos, so it's not too bad--it's just really frustrating! :( I'm going to try to take it in to the university IT center tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Oooo, I can make a header and a footer now and collect stamps! That's exciting! =O

2009

Sat Jan 3, 2009, 11:50 PM
Happy New Year everybody! Another year gone by. I think I nearly doubled my page views this year! Speaking of which, there will be a kiriban at 10,000. Keep your eyes open!

Hopefully I'll be more productive with art this year, but I'm still in college so it's unlikely. However, this will be my last year in college! Whoah! I will graduate this year in December. Can't wait! With that in mind, I think I'll retract my previous statement about having my comic ready to post some time this year. Most likely it will be up in 2010. I refuse to believe that having a job in the "real world" is more time consuming than trying to get good grades in college, so hopefully after this year I will have more time for art.

In other news, I'm currently planning to attend Further Confusion in San Jose, California on January 24th, and possibly the 25th, depending on how it goes. This year I'll bring my art stuff and happily take small commissions and trades! And maybe I'll bring some reference images of Azura so I can commission her from a few people. If anyone else will be there, let me know!
